                                              Obituary Column

 

The United States of America born July 4, 1776  Died 20_  _after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by Patriotism Lost, Fearless People, Moral Majority, Holy Matrimony, Godly Trust, Bodily Discipline, Liberty Bell, Justice Fair, and Jesus Love.

 

At one time I sought an artist who would draw a picture of a beautiful ranch style house with a visible concrete block foundation. (This was before all of our cad programs were so widely being used.) What marred the beauty and structural integrity of the house were blocks that had been removed from the foundation being replaced with disintegrating. Each of these blocks had a name on them. The blocks removed had, or would have, been named In God We Trust, now replaced by in me I trust, God’s Word replaced by doctrines of demons, marriage replaced by fornication and adultery, patriotism replaced by treason, fair wages becomes slavery, love becomes lust, faithful becomes faithless, hopeful becomes hopeless, life practitioners becomes purveyors of death, humility becomes arrogance, benevolence becomes greed, transparency becomes subterfuge, and churches replaced by theaters, stages, coffee shops, concession stands, and book stores. God’s order to procreate and fill the earth (this includes America!) was replaced by abortion. Prayer meetings, which are the pillars of the church, no longer exist for most congregations thus effectively removing corporate communication with the Father from the assemblies. When God’s Holy Spirit no longer leads man’s mindsets rule and eventually, if unchecked, satanic forces establish strongholds then take over. The house described cannot stand, but is destined to collapse.

 

There can come a time when God no longer hears prayers, even of His people to stay judgment on a people or land. The last time that I personally know God granted America a little more time to repent and turn back to Him was just before Clinton was sworn into office for the first time. There was a meeting held in Philadelphia, one where repentance was the center, a standing in the gap for this country, renewing the covenant our founding fathers made with God to establish this country. It was based on the  Bible and especially the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God heard the hearts of the people and honored their request granting our country what we can call ‘forbearance’, a setting aside for a period of time the sentence. Note: I have heard once or twice of similar meetings occurring since them but don’t know of any witnesses to them personally. At least once before I mentioned this meeting in a Prodigal. There were hundreds, possibly thousands, of people from all over America including Indians in tribal dress. I believe there were some people from other countries also. The first issue dealt with was forgiving one another personally, secondly as representatives of different ethnic groups, finally asking God’s forgiveness for forsaking His design for our nation requesting a renewal of His covenant we had broken. It was granted and we were given a space of time to turn back to Him. In the thirty some years since we have pushed deeper into the sewer mocking God and His ways, denying the One Who died to save us from eternal damnation.

 

It is over for America as a nation, BUT IT IS NOT OVER for His (God’s) true church. The true disciples (followers) of Jesus Christ have not reached the end of their course unless He is calling you home. The call is “To come up higher, separate yourselves from those things that so easily ensnare.” Quit worrying about your children, your grandchildren. Set your own life in His order and He will direct your path which will then effectively affect their lives. His Light in you is an eternal one that can only be dimmed or extinguished by you. Jesus is a gift that must be received freely by faith in Him alone. He cannot lie, and is trustworthy at all times, good, difficult & impossible.

 

If you are not truly saved AND have an obedient ear tuned to the Holy Spirit’s voice your days ahead will be filled with confusion and fear. DO NOT depend on your church membership or any other man made gimmick/ idol for your security. It is only to be found in a personal COMMUNICATIVE relationship with the Father, through the Son, and by the Holy Spirit.

 

I was impressed to write an Obituary in December and knew it was for America. A friend stopped by to visit before January’s Prodigal was sent out. Before he left I was given two books, one of which I was really drawn to (Sparkling Gems from the Greek by Rick Renner.) The other was Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn. As it turned out, that was the one I opened first. Reading it just confirmed what was placed in my spirit on this Obituary, the content of January’s Prodigal, and the lateness of America’s hour. Please acquire a copy and read Return of the Gods. Only the Gospel is more timely.

 

This nation has swung the doors wide open to Satan. Horrorscopes, (intentional miss sp)   fortune tellers, satanic worship, including animal & human sacrifice, breeder farms where both are raised for these practices. Halloween, the satanic high day of the year has  like a snake wormed its way into American culture alongside Eastern religious practices. Let’s not forget the child trafficking with murder and cannibalism included. Enough!
